Stephanie Weiner serves as Chief Counsel of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) in the Department of Commerce. She has held senior positions in private practice and in the Offices of General Counsel at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Department of Energy. Ms. Weiner also previously served as Senior Legal Advisor to the FCC Chairman, where she oversaw FCC matters relating to broadband competition and deployment. Stephanie began her legal career as a law clerk to Judges David Tatel on the U.S Court of appeals for the D.C. Circuit and Judge Milton Shadur on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She received her law degree magna cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law, her master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago, and her undergraduate degree from Brown University.
